Ingredients
  • ¾ stick of butter (for cooking)
  • Filling consists of:
  • 1 lbs. chopped meat
  • 1 T parsley
  • ½ C rise (uncooked, white)
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 finely chopped onion (optional)
Instructions
  1. Mix filling together, then take a teaspoon of the mixture and place it on the back of the leaf, roll once then tuck the ends in and continue to roll. Place them in rows in a pan that has cover.
  2. Melt about ¾ of a quarter lb. stick of butter. Pour over the grape leaves then put water to the top of the leaves, cover and cook about 20 minutes to ½ hour.
  3. A meal by itself.
